About me

For the past 25 years I have researched my family on my father's side in Ireland, England, Scotland and Germany and on my mother's side in Sweden, Denmark, Tahiti and Argentine. I have found the most surprising information in everything from birth records, foster care documents and personal letters. The vast amount of information that can be found when doing ancestral research in Sweden lets you see a life and the person who lived it.

I have also had the opportunity to help friends in USA research their Swedish ancestors, locating them in Sweden and following their movements until they decide to emigrate to America. The research gave me an insight into the extreme poverty that forced them to leave family, friends and familiar ground.

Another opportunity for me was investigating a foster child's living conditions and her mother's reason for leaving her daughter to be raised in another family. Reading the surrounding information in the church records often tells a story and gives the research depth and context to where a deeper understanding can be found.
